Why “Taproot Farm”?

The name Taproot Farm just came to us in the garden one day…   the reason is multi-layered.

There is that scrappy, never-give-up, tenacity of plants with taproots that we love and admire. And there is, for us, the more spiritual meaning of being connected to the “water table” in such a direct, purposeful way. Like a divining rod, a taproot is searching with such focus on finding “deeper water”, if that makes sense. This beautiful place is helping us connect with our own deeper, still water.
